Twins Marry, Give Birth Same Day [PHOTO]

Some coincidences could be planned, especially when they are not natural, but when natural incidents such as twins bringing forth at the same hospital on the same day occur, a miracle is the best description. Martha and Mary Kuranchie, like most twins, attended the same schools the Martyrs of Uganda Primary School in Kumasi, the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) JHS, St Monicas Senior High school at Mampong and the Cape Coast University where they both graduated with honours. The miracle started when Martha and Mary had their engagement on the same day, September 6, 2013 and followed it up with their wedding the next day at the same church, Rhema Assemblies of God, in Atonsu. In fact, their husbands to be were introduced to the family within less than a months interval. Although their husbands were neither friends nor relatives, the two men are both Ewes. On the fateful day of June 21, 2014 at around 5.30 a.m., Martha gave birth to a baby boy and six hours later on the same day, Mary was delivered of a baby girl. As if that was not enough, because Marys breast milk was not flowing, her baby had to fall on Marthas for some days. A visibly elated Rev. John Ewusi Kuranchie, District Pastor of Atonso Assemblies of God and the Minister in charge of Rhema Assemblies of God, Kumasi, the father of the twins, told The Mirror after a prayer session for the new mothers and their week-old babies at his Atonsu residence that I prayed to God for blessings and miracles and these are some of them. God is still in his miracle business, Rev. Kuranchie, the father of seven (three boys and four girls) said while briefing The Mirror reporter. Mrs Martha Amegatsey and Mrs Mary Amewuga Kumah were born on April 24, 1986. They got married on September 7, 2013 and gave birth on June 21, 2014 at the same Kuntenanse Hospital. The mother of the twins, Mrs Cecilia Kuranchie, a nursery school teacher, was full of praise for the Almighty God for His blessings when The Mirror asked about her reaction to the situation. Caring for my grandchildren has reminded me of when I gave birth to Martha and Mary. This is a great excitement, she added.
