Christian Youth Of Ghana Resolve To Fight Corruption

Members of the Christian Youth of Ghana have resolved to strive to lead blameless lives and act honestly as a way of fighting corruption in the country. As youth and young people with inspiration from the Psalmist in Psalm 15, we resolve to speak the truth from sincere hearts always and in all ways. We passionately entreat all our compatriots to make a similar resolve by refusing to engage in slanderous and libellous things for selfish and dishonest gains they said. These were contained in a communiqu issued at the end of the second edition of the National Youth Rally in Ho. It was on the theme, The Role of The Christian Youth in Fighting Corruption The God Factor. The communiqu asked young people working with the Police Service, the Military, the Ghana Revenue Authority, the Driver, Vehicle and Licensing Authority (DVLA), the Media, and the Church to act with honesty, integrity and with a high sense of patriotism to eliminate corruption in the country. It expressed strong conviction that it was not sufficient to acknowledge corruption but fighting it the Christian way. We deeply affirm that it is only Jesus Christ the God factor, that is able to appeal to the hearts and consciences of all to restrain themselves, and act with integrity and patriotism, the communiqu said.
