Elton Johns Comment Was Blasphemous Pastor Fosu

Pastor Francis Fosu, National Coordinator of the Deeper Life Campus Fellowship has described as blasphemous comments made by ace foreign musical icon, Sir Elton John. Sir Elton John a few days ago, indicated that Jesus Christ would have endorsed homosexuality especially among the clergy. According to him, If Jesus Christ was alive today, I cannot see him, as the Christian person that he was and the great person that he was, saying this could not happen. He was all about love and compassion and forgiveness and trying to bring people together. And that is what the Church should be about. However, Pastor Fosu who was shocked at Eltons remarks said the only way for such comments to be eliminated is through the teachings of the word of God. His (Elton John) comment was blasphemous he said. Pastor Fosu was speaking to the media during the launch of 2014 National Campus Congress. This years congress is dubbed Glory 2014 and is on the theme: Restoration of Gods Glory Among Intellectuals Pastor Fosu bemoaned the increase in decay in our country, citing corruption, stealing, bloodshed and so on and indicated that the only way for such acts to be eliminated is for the youth to engage in righteous acts that exalts a nation. He said the youth who are the future leaders of the country must be thought the right path which is rooted in the word of God and with that corruption and other vices will stop if not reduce. That is why we organise such programmes for the youthour community need men and women with intellectual and principles to help raise the standards of this country. This programme serves as a platform for reaching out to sinners. The event is also designed such that the image of God which seems to be missing nowadays in the country will be restored. With this, the glory of God will shine back on the nation. Participants at the programme will be trained in entrepreneurship as well as be equipped to be self-employed. This years congress will be held from 16th to 20th July, 2014 at the Deeper Life Regional Camp ground, Brofoyedru, Kumasi in the Ashanti Region.
