Atik: What A Wasteful VentureGhanaians Want Tangibles Not Govt Blowing Its Own Horn

Atik Mohammed, a Policy Analyst of the Peoples National Convention (PNC) has described the Press Release from the Ministry of Information, chronicling completed and ongoing developmental projects, as a wasteful venture. To him, there would be no need for government to attempt blowing its own trumpet if indeed those projects have been undertaken because the citizenry will be the better judges. government does not need a press conference to tell Ghanaians what they are doing or what theyve done. Ghanaians would know it, if you doing it. Ghanaians will experience it and Ghanaians will fell it, if you are indeed doing anything, he asserted on NEAT FM 100.9. The PNC activist also stated the Ghanaians are looking for deliverables and tangibles... and not to waste our ears by stating and restating the things you are about to do. His comment comes on the back of a press statement issued by Government and signed by the Deputy Minister for Information and Media Relations, Felix Kwakye Ofosu, which was read at a briefing session in response to issues raised by the #OccupyFlagStaffHouse group. According to him, though government is faced with numerous challenges, it is committed to raising the living standards of Ghanaians. He went on to enumerate the programs, policies, initiatives and concrete achievements of the Mahama Administration, but Atik Mohammed believes it was just waste of time and taxpayers money. The outspoken government critic further admonished the government and its appointees to be up and doing, in order to alleviate the plight of Ghanaians.
