Don�t Lose Hope �Amasaman Mp Tells Constituent

Member of Parliament (MP) for Amasaman, Mr. Emmanuel Nii Okai Laryeh has cut sod for the construction of a 40 -unit market facility to serve the people of Akramaman in the Ga West District of the Greater Accra Region. The modern market designed to ease the burden of market women would be constructed at an estimated cost of over GH�95,000.00. He said the move was part of the promises he made to the people during the election campaign to create employment for women in the community. Addressing his constituents, Mr. Laryeh assured the people to build their trust in the NDC government because other plans are far advanced to embark on many developmental projects including setting up a bank to be called Amasaman Community Bank to empower the women in their trade. The Bank, he said, would be in the position to grant loans to the women in order to help them in their petty trade. He said President Mahama has not forgotten his promises he made to Ghanaians, saying he is fixing things and all he needed from Ghanaians and his people is to exercise a little restrain. �Within two years in office, part of our plan is to put up a total number of seven markets in different areas in the municipality of which two have already been awarded.� Mr. Laryeh asserted. He continued that within his two years in office he has built a six- classroom unit block in Nsakina. On his part, the Assembly member of the area, Mr. Thomas Okaine, advised the various family heads to make available some lands for development.
