The students could not hide their joy after the brief presentation on the benefits of this new product. In a separate interview with the Managing Director of UBA Ghana, Mrs Abiola Bawuah explained the rationale behind this new product. She intimated that, technological advancements are changing the banking landscape from providing banking services to providing lifestyle solutions to consumers; and with the youth being at the centre of this evolution, there is the need to design banking solutions that suit their lifestyle and aspirations. NEXTGEN, she further explained; provides the youth the opportunity to not only cultivate a banking culture but also, the opportunity to live a stress free life by providing them with the platform to do all their banking transactions from the comfort of their school, mobile phones or laptops; just like they do when networking on facebook or twitter. This is a complete lifestyle product for the youth.
