Bonking Pastors Judgment Day

All attention will be on the Accra Fast Track High Court presided over by Justice Charles Quist who is likely to deliver a historic judgment on bonking pastor, Nana Akwesi Agyemang; who allegedly defiled eight girls with some as young as three years. Anxious people last week trooped to listen to the judgment which was supposed to be delivered by Justice Charles Quist but there was no show. Before this, the case had been adjourned to the displeasure of parents of the victims and media men who had trooped there to see the closure of the case. Nana Akwesi Agyemang, who was the head pastor of the Ghana branch of the Shiva Linga Church in Abidjan, Ivory Coast; is standing trial in Justice Quists court on charge of defiling eight children who were aged between three and twelve. Family members and members of the public have been disappointed on several occasions by the adjournment of the much awaited ruling by the court presided over by Justice Quist. A deep throat source at Justice Quists court speaking to this paper on condition of anonymity stated that the judgment on Nana Akwesi Agyemang case was ready but was also wondering why the delay in its delivery. I can authoritatively state that the final ruling has been written and it is left with its delivery. I dont know why Justice Quist is still holding on to it; but hopefully he would do it at the next sitting which is on Wednesday, July 23, he stated. Meanwhile, family members of the defiled girls who have always been present have also expressed the hope that Justice Quist would finally deliver verdict so that they can bring closure to the long drawn episode that has affected their respective families. The defiled children came into contact with the accused, Nana Kwesi Agyemang; because of his work at the Ghana branch of the Shiva Linga church, on an arrangement with parents of the respective children; they came to live with the accused at his residence at St. Johns near Dome a suburb of Accra. It was during this time that he took advantage of the absence of their parents and allegedly defiled the girls as and when his libido dictated to him. He always threatened the girls with death if they ever told their parents about what he did to them and that they would not be taken seriously even if they did. Nana Akwesi Agyemangs cap was blown when a girl who was brought from Abidjan decided to confide in the parents of two other victims on her return about the alleged sexual escapades of the accused. The two parents; one Stephen Peprah and Mary Anaglate confirmed the story via telephone from their respective daughters, they rushed to Accra and caused the arrest of Nana Akwesi Agyemang. In 2007, the accused was charged and put before court, but after four witnesses and the accused, who was on bail had been called; Nana Akwesi Agyemang jumped bail and went into hiding for four years till he was rearrested at Techiman with the help of investigative journalist Anas Aremeyaw Anas. Nana Akwesi Agyemangs arrest happened when he sneaked into Ghana from his Abidjan base as he usually did, to spend time with his family. The surveillance team put in place for months by Anas, eventually got wind of his presence and reported to the Brong Ahafo Regional Police who swooped in and rearrested a visibly awed Nana Akwesi before he was immediately transferred to Accra. Senior State Attorney, Evelyn Keelson; is representing the state, whiles lawyer Victor Kwadjoga Adawudu is counsel for the accused. Justice Quists much awaited judgment is seen as the last chip that would complete a long-drawn-out case in which a bonking pastor pleads innocence and affected families also seek justice. As one family member put it; we have come this far, Justice Charles Quist is who we are all waiting for. Stay tuned as we follow events.
