Germany World Cup Coach Sponsoring Poor Ghanaian Children

Germanys World Cup winning coach Joachim Low has been sponsoring poor children in Ghana for several years as he and wife have been unable to have any kids after 25 years of marriage. The coach who steered the European to the World Cup title in Brazil last week has been paying for the upkeep of many children in orphanages in Ghana. But the names of the orphanages, the disbursing officer and the nature and other details of the packages that the German has been giving to the Ghanaian children is unknown. My wife and I, unfortunately dont have children, we would have actually liked to be with our own kids, unfortunately its not the case, Loew said. Loew reported about his engagement for children in Ghana in an interview with a childrens news programme in Germany on Thursday after he was hailed in the country for his success in Brazil. Because he has personally seen many miserable children in this world, especially in Africa, it compelled him to engage in financial assistance to (poor) children who are in dire need. Loew was in Tanzania twice to visit orphans in the early 1990 and according to him, he discovered that many children were totally helpless. Some were lying helplessly by the roadside while others were too sick without any medical attention and no one taking care of them. According to the childrens aid organisation Plan international Germany the coach has been sponsoring children in Ghana since 2010. In the same year he supported a project in Rwanda to facilitate sports courts for primary schools and also equip school teams with jerseys and footballs.
