U/W Regional Chief Imam Calls For Hard Work

The Upper West Regional Chief Imam, Dr Sulemani Bakuri has asked Ghanaians to put in hard work to ensure the nation makes progress in her development. He acknowledged that the nation was passing through turbulent times, but he said with hard work, determination and togetherness, the nation will succeed. He thus exhorted Ghanaians to work hard so that together, the desired goals could be achieved. The Regional Chief Imam was co-leading the congregation of Muslims together with the Wa Naa, Naa Fushini Seidu Pelpuo IV in reading the sermon and prayers for the nation at the Wa Jubilee Park during the Eid-Ul Fitr celebration. The Chief Imam prayed for peace, stability, prosperity, good health and understanding for the entire leaders and people of the nation so that all must work toward the nation's progress. The Regional Minister, Alhaji Amin Amidu Sulemani whose message was read by the Wa Municipal Chief Executive, Mr Nuhu Issahaku Putiaha, exhorted the people to use the festivities as a renewal of faith and urged them to strive hard to achieve peace and solidarity. He urged the people not to allow anybody to divide their front through ethnic, religious or political machinations, adding that with Allah on our side, the government's Better Ghana Agenda shall succeed. He gave the assurance that the government was on course with its commitment to provide 200 senior high schools in the country which was inaugurated at Lambussie in the Lambussie-Karni District recently.
