John Jinapor has called on the Attorney General outfit not to spare anyone involved in the Woyome judgment debt scandal. Speaking on Peace FM�s Kokrokoo, John Jinapor insisted that justice should take its course against any individual or entity indicted in the infamous GHC 51.2 million judgment debt. He therefore wants the appropriate authorities to ensure that the Supreme Court ruling on the Woyome saga is adhered to by businessman Alfred Agbesi Woyome. The Supreme Court on Tuesday ordered Alfred Agbesi Woyome to refund all the money he illegally received from the Government of Ghana. The court presided over by Chief Justice Georgina Theodora Wood unanimously ruled that Mr. Woyome had no valid contract with the State and so directed him to pay up the sum of money. Following the court ruling, several political figures and a section of the Ghanaian society have also called for the heads of the former Attorney General Betty Mould-Iddrisu and the then Deputy Attorney-General (now first Deputy Speaker of Parliament) Barton-Odro to roll. They argued that the two government officials including other individuals should all face prosecution in the law court for playing significant roles in the controversial judgment debt deal. Addressing the issue on Peace FM, John Jinapor agreed to propositions that any person who helped Mr. Woyome to illegally acquire the money faces the full rigors of the law, stressing that it would serve as a deterrent to others who have nursed interest in defrauding the economy.
