Alan K Courts First-Time Voters To Register

Flagbearer aspirant of the opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP), Alan Kyerematen is appealing to people who just turned 18 to register in the ongoing limited voter registration exercise by the Electoral Commission (EC). He said in the run-up to the 2016 general elections, it is an important the registration exercise is taken seriously by all stakeholders to ensure �it is conducted with absolute integrity and within the confines of the rules and regulations as stipulated�. In a statement issued in Accra Monday, the presidential hopeful underscored the need for all political parties to take keen interest in the exercise for a violent free elections in 2016. He also admonished �Ghanaians not to relent on their efforts in carrying out their civic responsibility by being part of this democratic process�. Alan Kyerematen urged the members and agents of the NPP to closely monitor the conduct of the exercise because �I believe is one of the major steps towards victory in 2016�. �Ghanaians are calling for a change in leadership and the reconstruction of our ailing economy. We cannot fail them this time� he stated. Alan Kyerematen said the next NPP government is ready to provide unlimited prosperity and better days to the mass of our people. Meanwhile, limited registration exercise which is will take place at 6,000 centres across the country will end on Wednesday August 13, 2014.
