Tarkwa NPP Executives Vandalises MP's Building

Constituency executives of the opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP) have been fingered in an alleged defacing of an office apartment belonging to Gifty Eugenia Kusi NPP Member of Parliament (MP) for Tarkwa-Nsuaem. Narrating the incident to Kwami Sefa Kayi, on Kokrokoo, Gifty Kusi indicated that she was away on Thursday, August 7, when she had a call that her office had been vandalised. According to her, when she got to her office, she realised that her office which was originally in NPP colours, had been painted with Coal tar and her picture, defaced. She said that the executives wrote a statement which was read on Tarkwa-based Pure FM that somebody had opened an illegal office at Tamso and had even painted it in NPP colours, adding that all NPP members should disregard that office because it is illegal. I was really confused because that office is in my name and I asked for it to be painted in NPP colours. The MP said, the new executive members after being elected into office had deliberately side-lined her in every activity the party undertook in the constituency even though she is a member of the executive committee at the constituency level. When asked who the NPP MP for the constituency is, they will mention a different name; someone who has not been voted for. They dont even recognise that I am still the sitting MP she lamented. The case is currently in the hands of the Tarkwa Police Station.
