Give Priority To Entrepreneurship Training - Banker

The country�s universities have been urged to put premium on entrepreneurial skills training to rein in the rising unemployment among its graduates. Mr Erasmus Asare, Manager of the Adum Harper Road Branch of Stanbic Bank, said they need to do more to build the capacity, the confidence, and the competency of students to venture into businesses. Mr Asare was speaking at a three-day conference held by the Young Men Christian Association (YMCA) in Kumasi. He said this was the way forward to make them economically self-supporting and help to sustain the national economy on the path of growth. He suggested that all final year undergraduate students of the tertiary institutions be introduced to entrepreneurship. Mr. Asare urged the youth to be bold to start their own businesses, saying, they have to take risk to achieve life success. �Youth in entrepreneurship: overcoming unemployment�, is the theme of the conference, being attended by more than 300 selected participants across the country. The goal is to encourage them to go into business ventures by exposing them to business development skills." Financing your Future Business: the personal saving option�, �Business and Crimes: the Perspective of the Law�, �Identifying Business Opportunities� and �Towards a Successful Business�, are among the topics for discussion.
