NPP Is Not Like Military BaseIt Is A Voluntary Organisation - Okudzeto

What I know is that I have been asked to proceed on leave and the last time I heard that was during the Rawlings military base where DCEs where fired on the radio We are a party of rules, I am not saying that I am the most qualified person to do the work; the issue is that if we were a party of rules, we should make sure that when we are doing things we should apply the lawthe right things should be done says Perry Okudjeto. Deputy Communications Director of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Perry Okudzeto was asked to proceed on leave and according to sources from the party headquarters some deputy directors of communication have been appointed with immediate effect. But speaking in an interview on Citi FM, Perry expressed his displeasure in the manner he was asked to proceed on leave; indicating that NPP is a voluntary organisation. He also added that my terms of engagement do not include a leave where the leave is determined by party leaders. Narrating what happened, Perry said he was invited by some of the new executives under the leadership of Mr Paul Afoko and after being subjected to a series of questions, was asked to proceed on leave. According to him, if there were supposed to be a leave, I will apply for the leave and ask that I need to travel to do ABC.and then that leave is granted but when you are called into a meeting and you are asked how many years you have worked for the partyand then you are asked to go on leave, it leaves much to be desired. I came to work in the party not just because I am a party activist but because of the professional expertise I have in communication; I am a communications expertif there is going to be a leave at all I should be the one asking for the leave. I am not saying that I dont deserve a leave; it is not about whether I want to go on leave or notit is the underlying factors pushing the leave and that is what is raising the red flagBy the terms of engagement, are there rules in our party that you are entitled to a leave; and if there are, is it you who apply for it or it is the party leadership who asks you to go on leave? he queried.
