Nana Addo Will Surely Be Ghanas Next President

Two-time New Patriotic Party [NPP] Presidential candidate, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo continues his campaign to solicit for votes of the delegates of the NPPs special congress slated for August 31st 2014 to prune the number of aspirants from the qualified seven to five as mandated by the partys constitution. The August 31st, 2014 special delegates congress is part of the partys process towards the election of the flagbearer at the main national congress slated for the 18th October, 2014 where over 100, 000 members of the party will go to the polls to elect a leader who will lead the NPP to wrestle power from the Mahama-led NDC government. However, many regional executives of the NPP including the Ashanti Regional Chairman, Bernard Antwi Boasiako, aka Chairman Wontumi has thrown the support of the entire regional executives, constituency chairmen, members of the National Council, and Members of Parliament of the party in the Ashanti Region behind Nana Akufo-Addo. The endorsements for the NPP presidential hopeful [Nana Addo] has generated cacophonies within the party as many believe it is unethical. But speaking with Peacefmonline.com, a leading member of the opposition NPP, Fred Kwaku Amankwah-Sarfo insists there is absolutely nothing wrong with Nana Addos massive endorsements. The spate of endorsements across the country by delegates of the NPP makes Nana Addos campaign somewhat a formality. Nana Akufo-Addo continue to enjoy massive support not only within the membership of the party, but most importantly the majority of the Ghanaian voter who have observed the almost four decades of meritorious political activism of a man ready, willing, capable with a clarity of mind, articulate, visionary and a drive to transform the fundamentals of the socio economic growth of the country, he said. He however noted that, Many pundits and political observers have called the contest to elect the next flagbearer of the NPP a no contest for Nana Akufo-Addo. Although there are six other contestants vying for the position, the others are seen as adding to the package. The failed to be NPP National Vice Chairman told Peacefmonline.com that the grassroots of the NPP are yelling and enthusiastic to see Nana Addo lead the elephant family for a third-time. During my campaign to be elected as the partys National Vice Chairman, it was very obvious that the delegates were all in concert to ensure that Akufo-Addo lead the party in the 2016 election. It is therefore of no surprise that majority of the NPP MPs, the entire regional executives who form the core of the special delegate congress have all shown in practical and concrete terms and with confidence their preference for the leadership of Nana Akufo-Addo, he said. Adding that, never in the history of this party has there been such a public display of support by almost every delegate for one man...Nana Addo is an astute political leader, he has seen it all and tasted defeat and success in a number of elections. To him, Mr Kyerematens inclusion enriches the flagbearership contest and as liberal democrats, the NPP rank and file accommodates diversity of opinions expressed within the principle of respect, decorum and circumspection, but Nana Addo is winning the race for the flagbearership position of the party and surely he will be the next president of Ghana.
