Kwabena Agyapongs Appointees Better Stay Put - Bugri Naabu Warns

Northern Regional Chairman of the opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP) Daniel Bugri Naabu, has cautioned the nine newly-appointed communication members to suspend their duties until further notice since their appointment was not done in accordance with the partys constitution. According to him, the partys constitution gives only the National Executive Committee (NEC) the power to appoint or dismiss any officer of the party. An angry Bugri Naabu, in an interview with Okay Fms Ade Akye Abia Morning Show host, Kwame Nkrumah Tikesie, strongly believed Kwabena Agyapongs action flies in the face of the partys laid down rules and usurping of powers. The party does not belong to his family and he can go and manage his own business and run it in that way but not NPP; it is a bigger political organization in the world and not only in Ghana. Kwabena Agyapong and Paul Afoko are not the only power force in the party to be taking decisions alone on behalf of the larger executives; otherwise there would have been no need for us to be members of NEC and NC if we are not another power force in the party. Apart from conducting meetings in the party, they have no power to take decisions alone. They can go and form their company and do that and not in NPP..those newly appointees by Kwabena Agyapong should stay put and if they want their appointments to be approved, they have to go through the NEC and NC; if they go on to start their duties then they are going to worsen their cases because nobody will accept them as deputy communicatorsat the NEC meeting, I will hint on the suspension of Kwabena Agyapong, he fumed.
