Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has appealed to national officers of the New Patriotic Party to end the "media war" immediately, and resolve their issues using internal mechanisms available to the party. In a meeting with members of the Western Regional Executive Committee on Wednesday, August 20, in Tarkwa, Nana Akufo-Addo was of the view that the path being resorted to by national officers in taking their views on the recent happenings in the party onto the media landscape is not the way to go. According to him, the situation where national officers of the party are trying to prove who is right or wrong in the media will be detrimental to the party. "We are all members of one family," he said, "and our national officers have to find a way to work together. Their issues must be handled internally and I appeal to them to settle them accordingly, guided by precedent and the Constitution of the Party."
