A twenty-seven-year-old mason, Kwasi Gavina has been arrested by the Akuapem Adawso police for possessing human body part. The arrest was aided by a popular fetish priest in the area, Nana Djakpata. The suspect has been put in police custody to assist in investigations. Speaking to the DAILY HERITAGE at Akuapem Adawso, the fetish priest, Nana Djakpata, stated that he spotted the suspect on his premises holding something in a used cement bag and when queried, the suspect told the fetish priest that he had brought human skull to him for rituals to enable him get money to look after his two children. However, the fetish priest dragged the suspect to the police and he was subsequently arrested. In an interview with the suspect, he admitted that he dug the human skull from a cemetery at Dowenya in the Greater Accra region. According to him, due to economic hardship, he is unable to take care of his wife and two children, hence, his decision to seek spiritual assistant to get money for a living. The station officer for Adawso, Seth Obeng said the suspect will be transferred to the Akuapem district command for statement to be taken for further investigations and prosecution.
