If A Dying Mills Could Even Defeat A Vibrant NPP; Only My Era Can Secure Power - Dr. Apraku

Under the leadership of Nana Akufo-Addo, the New Patriotic Party has suffered two defeats at the hands of their bitterest political rival- the National Democratic Congress. What the future holds is yet to be told but Dr. Konadu Apraku believes if delegates should endorse his candidature this coming weekend, the NPP would definitely bounce back to power in 2016. Speaking on Peace FM the former minister of state in charge of Trade and Industry, stated that unlike Nana Akufo-Addo, if given the nod to lead the party in 2016, he would secure victory for the party. The success of every politician is measured by his or her ability to capture political power. As a party, we arent waiting to capture political power in Heaven but right here on earth, he posited. Dr. Apraku also claimed that he would act as unifier when elected and promised to use his political skills to help the party recapture seats and regions they lost to the NDC. Ex-president Kufour managed to beat ex-president Mills on two occasions even though the latter entered the contest for the first time as a sitting vice president. But during his (Mills) dying moment, he also beat the person (Nana Addo) who represented the NPP, Dr. Apraku said. Arrangements have been made by the NPP for a Special Delegates' Congress and it is on this note that Dr. Apraku has charged delegates not to vote based on the friendly ties with any of the candidates but rather on competence.
