The National Youth Organiser of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Mr Ludwig Akpene Hlodze, has said the turbulent situation in which the nation finds herself now will soon be over in order to open up for rapid development.
He said many projects, including roads, would pick up to meet the expectations of the electorate in fulfilment of the promises made to the people.
Mr Hlodze was addressing the constituency congress for the Ho-Central Constituency of the NDC at which new executives were elected to run the affairs of the party in the constituency for the next four years.
He bemoaned disrespect for leadership in the party and said it was wrong for people to use the social media to insult and pass sarcastic comments to destroy their leaders.
�We should use Information and Communications Technology (ICT) to communicate and not to miscommunicate,� he stated.
The Deputy National Coordinator of the National Disaster Management Organisation (NADMO), Mr Henry Ametefe, said the concept of election was the renewal of mandate and not a �do and die� affair and that, the party was renewing itself which sincerely called for all shades of professionals to come on board.
The Member of Parliament (MP) for Ho-West constituency, Mr Emmanuel Bedzrah, advised the delegates to choose only resourceful candidates who were capable of performing to bring victory in 2016.
A former Communications irector at the office of the President, Mr Koku Anyidoho, assured them that the NDC would remain in power to manage the challenges facing the nation and cross over into 2016 when the investments started to mature.
The newly elected constituency Chairman, Mr Fegurson Afedo, said the constituency remained a stronghold for the party as it was able poll 60,150 votes and placed second in the whole nation for the presidency in the last election.
Other elected new executives are vice-chairman, Mr Frank Gezia; secretary, Mr Stanley Glate; deputy secretary, Mr Eric Seyram Benne; organiser, Mr Terry Norvor; deputy organiser, Mr Vincent Tanyegbe; women�s organiser, Ms Seiba Aloryito and deputy women�s organiser, Ms Sefakor Koudadzie.
The rest are, youth organiser, Mr Edem Wisdom Nkonoo; deputy youth organiser, Mr Adrain Amegadzie; propaganda secretary, Mr Joseph Amevor; deputy propaganda secretary, Mr Theophilus Yao Adzanku; treasurer, Mr Seraphin Senyo Hinidzah and deputy treasurer, Ms Mercy Ameto
