How Can Someone Who Graduated With 3rd Class From A Univ Be Prez?

A member of the Governments Communications Team has pooh-poohed the academic credentials of the 2012 Presidential candidate of the opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP) Nana Addo, claiming his academic records does not qualify him to be elected President of Ghana. Samuel George is of the view that because the NPP stalwart graduated from the University of Ghana (Legon) with a "third class" honours, he is unfit to be the President of the Republic of Ghana. He was commenting on recent remarks made by Nana Addo on the performance of this year's WASSCE students. The two-time NPP Flagbearer is touted for his academic prowess and seen as one of the best lawyers in the country. Nana Addo has over the years been lauded by his cronies and supporters to have exposed the weaknesses of the Electoral Commission during the NPP's Presidential petition ruling at the Supreme Court. Recently, he shared his thoughts on the WASSCE results that were released and on his discoveries; Nana Addo blamed the government for the poor performance of the students. Reacting to Nana Addo's position on the outcome of the WASSCE, Samuel George minced no words when he labelled the two-time NPP Presidential Candidate a "blatant liar." it is a known fact that Nana Addo graduated from the University of Ghana with third class. To go to the University and get a third class, it means you scored between 40% and 49%....Is this the person to come and talk about education in this country? Is this the person to come and gloat about what he calls; failure? he rhetorically asked on Radio Gold's "Alhaji and Alhaji" programme. Juxtaposing Nana Addo's University grades with the latest WASSCE results, Sam George was absolutely certain that it is below C6. 40 - 44 is E8, 45 49 is D7. So, it means that if were going to do analysis of Nana Addos academic record; Nana Addo as per the WAEC results, would have fallen within this category of 72 percent who failed but he has a degree from the University of Ghana on the basis of which he went to do his training in the UK and is called a lawyer today," he said in a voice dripping with deep sarcasm. The President of Ghana has to be a jack of all trades and master of allNana Addo has exposed his deficiency and one more reason why he cannot be President of this country; one more reason why he cant be elected even as flagbearer of the NPP. This is a blatant lie Nana Addo has told and we must put it to him, and tell him to come and apologize to the delegates of the NPP in the Volta Region and the Ghanaian people at large to whom he spoke to on Wednesday on 26th of August, 2014," he stated.
