CHRAJ Boss Must Be Sacked

A Financial Consultant, Sydney Casely-Hayord, is calling for the immediate removal of Lauretta Lamptey, boss of the Commission of Human Rights and Administrative Justice, (CHRAJ), describing her as extremely incompetent. Casely-Hayford says Lampteys failure to use her institution to initiate steps to retrieve monies siphoned by members of the 2014 World Cup committee, justifies calls for her dismissal. According to Casely-Hayford, revelations at the presidential commission, probing Ghanas participation at the 2014 football tournament in Brazil, is enough for the CHRAJ Boss to act and fight for Ghanaians. The CHRAJ boss is extremely incompetentshe should be out there fighting for the people of Ghana. Casely-Hayfords call comes after the Chief Executive Officer of Ambar Quality Foods Limited one of the three catering firms that fed Ghanaian football fans in Brazil Gertrude Quashigah, Thursday, told the presidential commission that prices allotted for foodstuffs were highly inflated. Also a GHc34-budget for three square meals for the supporters turned out to be 35 Dollars when Horace Ankrah, chairman of the Grounds, Events and Logistics sub-committee for the World Cup, appeared before the Commission. Ankrah, who was in the witness box, laboured to explain to the Commission some discrepancies in the figures that were quoted as what was spent on feeding supporters that were airlifted to Brazil. Speaking on Accra based Citi FM Saturday, Casely-Hayford said revelations at the World Cup commission clearly show that there was a deliberate attempt by a group of people to make as much money as possible, and, therefore, is shocked CHRAJ has done nothing about all the revelations at the commission. What happened in Brazil is plain thievery. It was a deliberate attempt by a group of persons to make as much money as possible. They have stolen and I would go to court if I have to Mr. Casely-Hayford stated.
