The Emergency General Meeting of the Ghana Journalists Association, originally scheduled to take place on Friday, 19th September 2014, at 10:00 a.m. at the Ghana International Press Centre will now be held on Thursday, 18th September 2014 at the same time and venue. This was in a statement issued in Accra and copied to the Ghana Broadcasting Corporation (GBC). According to the statement, the meeting has been shifted forward to enable the Treasurer of the Association to be available to present her report. Mrs. Linda Asante-Agyei of the Ghana News Agency is due to leave soon after the meeting, to cover the UN General Assembly meeting at UN headquarters in New York, which opens the following day. The statement therefore asked all paid-up members of the GJA and regional representatives are to take note and attend accordingly.
