Prez Mahama Donates To Three (3) Ebola Countries

President John Dramani Mahama has donated made-in-Ghana products to three West African countries which have been affected by the Ebola disease. He made the donation on behalf of the government and the people of Ghana during a one-day tour to Liberia, Sierra Leone and Guinea yesterday. Some of the items donated were made-in-Ghana Rice, Milk, Vegetable oil, Cocoa products and so on. According to Ben Dotse Malor, Senior Communications Advisor to the President, President Mahama went on the tour to show the Ebola-stricken countries that they have not been forsaken in their time of need. "...he needed to go there to show solidarity and support to our brothers and sisters in Liberia, Sierra Leone and Guinea that in their time of need they have not been forsaken. He didn't want to go to those countries empty handed and that was why he took those items" he told Kwami Sefa Kayi in an interview on PEACE FM. The President's first stop was Liberia, where he held closed-door bilateral discussions with President Ellen Johnson-Sirleaf of Liberia. He then continued to Sierra Leone and ended in Guinea. "The President always says when your neighbour's house is on fire, you either carefully gather enough water to go douse the fire or you get enough water at home so that in case the fire comes to you, you can deal with it. I think it is a good thing, showing leadership, solidarity, compassion..." he added.
