Anane Lied...Nana Addo Is A Solid Political Figure And No One Must Disgrace Him

Managing Editor of the New Crusading Guide newspaper Kweku Baako has debunked claims by Former Minister for Health, Dr. Richard Anane, that Nana Addos cohort masterminded a plot to replace Ex-President John Agyekum Kufour after the New Patriotic Party (NPP) National Delegates Conference in 1998. Dr. Anane leveled the allegations against the two-time Presidential candidate of the party, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo Addo during the campaign launch of the flagbearer hopeful, Alan Kyerematen. He claimed after NPP delegates elected Mr Kufuor as their presidential candidate in 1998, Stanley Nii Adjiri Blankson, who was a leading member of Nana Akufo-Addos campaign team at the time, and some others he did not mention schemed to have him (Kufuor) dropped and replaced by their candidate. According to Dr. Anane, Adjiri Blankson and some other members of Nana Addos campaign team who he did not mention prevailed on the late Bernard Joao Da Rocha, a.k.a B.J Da Rocha, and the then chairman of the NPP, Mr. Samuel Odoi-Sykes, as well as other executives to drop John Agyekum Kufuor, the elected presidential candidate, and replace him with their candidate. He pointed out the recent calls on other candidates to step down for Nana Akufo-Addo was reminiscent of what happened in 1998, and clearly shows disrespect for delegates.
