Alan K And Addai-Nimoh Are Behind The Court Action - Obiri Boahen

Former Interior Minister in the erstwhile Kufuor administration, Hon. Obiri Boahen has accused Alan Kyerematen and Francis Addai Nimo, the two flagbearer aspirants challenging Nana Akufo Addo for instigating the court case against the agreed date for the National Delegates Congress. According to the former NPP Brong Ahafo Regional Chairman, the court case against the decided date for the Congress is spearheaded by the duo as they earlier raised issues about the October 18 date for the Congress after benefitting from the Super Delegates Congress. In legal terms, the renowned lawyer concluded that Alan Kyerematen and Addai-Nimoh are estopped by their own conduct as they are going against the earlier agreed date for the organization of the two events. Speaking on Okay Fms Ade Akye Abia Morning Show, Hon. Obiri Boahen said Alan Kyerematen and Addai Nimos request in court will motivate those who didnt benefit from the Super Delegates to also seek court injunction to declare the earlier election null and void for not being offered enough time to campaign. The timetable has already been drawn and they knew the date and thats why they picked the form; they went for vetting and took part in the first phase of the election [Super Delegates Congress] and so why the change of mind about the second phase of the election? A level headed person will conclude that they are behind the court case against the date for the congress. They are estopped by their own conduct and this behavior if entertained may have legal implication in the party..they started raising concerns after agreeing to participate in the contest, he opined. He however threatened to go to court to seek a declaration expunging those who frequently take the party to court without using the appropriate quarters in the party to seek redress.
