Video: NDC Communicator Proposes Building More Latrines To Solve Sanitation Problems

In this modern times, we have often thought having a decent place to ease yourself is the ideal place to go when nature calls. But communities and governments inability to construct such facilities makes it easier for several people residing along the coastal belt, to directly defecate on the beaches. This has been the case for long and as we look for solutions to solve this menace, Francis Annor Dompreh, an aspiring deputy Eastern Regional secretary for the National Democratic Congress, has proposed that more atonko must be built. Atonko also known as latrine, can refer to a toilet or a simpler facility used as a toilet, generally without a bowl. It can be a communal trench in the earth in a camp, a simple pit, or more advanced designs, including pour-flush systems or ecological latrines. Watch his submission on UTVs Adekye Nsroma below
