The State Must Prosecute Baffour Gyan - Nyaho Tamakloe

A leading member of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Dr. Nyaho Nyaho Tamakloe has described the assaulted Graphic Communications Group journalist, Daniel Kenus decision to drop charges against former Black Stars player, Baffour Gyan as unfortunate. He expressed displeasure at the Kenus decision saying I am disappointed in the journalist. It eliminates the possible interest of bringing justice to the country. Mr. Kenu was believed to have been assaulted for questioning the Al Ain striker about the whereabouts of Hiplife artiste, Theophilus Tagoe, a.k.a Castro. He cited family issues and health concerns as reasons for discontinuing the case brought against the elder brother of Black Stars captain, Asamoah Gyan for leading a violent attack on him in the run up to the Black Stars match against Uganda at the Baba Yara Sports stadium a fortnight ago. But Dr. Nyaho Nyaho Tamakloe stressed that the attack on the journalist was not an attack on one person but an attack on a democratic institution and so should be dealt as such. What happened to the journalist is worse and so even if he has dropped charges against the black stars player, the state must prosecute them. I am waiting to for the next action of Mr. Ken Ashigbey and the GJA president he noted.
