Clergyman Calls For Environmental Cleanliness

Prophet Joseph Sarpong, General Overseer of Charis of Christ International, has called on Ghanaians to observe environmental cleanliness to enable them to stay healthy. He noted that the attitude of some people throwing garbage into gutters and defecating at open places do not augur well for the environment and must be stopped. Prophet Sarpong made the call at the opening of a five-day conference of the church at Madina in the Greater Accra Region. The conference on the theme: �The Presence of God,� is aimed at praying for peace and stability of the nation. Prophet Sarpong said washing of hands with soap before and after eating is good and must be embraced by all. He charged the youth to desist from all form of negative tendencies that may ruin their lives and instead seek the face of God for their needs. The General Overseer called on his colleague men of God to preach the unadulterated word of God to win more souls for Christ. He said the church had acquired a large tract of land at Ashalley Botwe near Madina where a school and hospital would be built to cater for the educational and health needs of the poor and the needy.
