Dont Leave Ghana For Abroad

The Kumasi Metropolitan Archbishop of the Roman Catholic Church, Most Rev. Archbishop Anokye, who doubles as the vice-President of conference of Catholic Bishops in Africa, made this call at Dompoase St. Joseph Catholic Church, which has been carved out from the Kyirapatre Parish to a Rectorate, after installing Rev. Kwadwo Owusu Piesie, together with the congregation to work hard so that in no time Dompoase St. Joseph Rectorate becomes a full parish to run its own affairs based on the doctrines of the Roman Catholic Church. In an interview with the Herald Newspaper, the Kumasi Archbishop, bemoaned the high rate of Catholics defection from the church to join other churches and other religious groups, , adding that since the 2000 population census in Ghana, 15.1per cent were Catholics, but in 2010 the number reduced to 13.1 per cent, based on this, he encouraged evangelization throughout all catholic churches in Ghana and the world as a whole.
