Yes Is Being Handled Like Chaskele

The Unemployed Graduates Association of Ghana (UGAG) wishes to state that it is not happy with the manner in which management of the Youth Enterprise Support (YES) is being handled. Within the last three months, YES has witnessed the transition of two CEOs which is not good for any new venture. Mr. Kojo Adu-Asare who was the first boss was relieved for Miss. Helga Boadi to take over. The Association believes that the recent challenges being faced by YES relating to leadership is critical and must be given the needed attention it deserves. The group does not believe the current leadership headed by Miss. Boadi is capable of managing the affairs of the fund considering the many allegation of fraud surrounding her. Integrity is paramount when it comes to trust organisations such as YES. Therefore a person with such allegations cannot be seen to deliver faithfully in the eyes of the public when she is allowed to lead the team. YES cannot afford to be fail the young entrepreneur like the Ghana Youth Employment and Entrepreneurial Development Agency (GYEEDA), The Local Enterprises and skills Development Programme (LESDEP), Graduate Business Support Scheme (GEBSS), and the many government intervention did. We cant again afford to create an avenue which will allow individuals steal from the state. We are therefore calling on the president, His Excellency John Dramani Mahama to use the right procedures to appoint the CEO of YES and must not be by political appointment where the CEO can be fired at any point in time. We need competent people with solid background built on integrity to manage the affairs of YES. It is on this note, that we support Mr. Adakabre Frimpong-Mansos, host of Me Man Nti on Neat FMs call for further investigation into what led to the resignation of Miss. Boadi from the First Atlantic Bank. We wish to state clearly that we are also conducting our own investigation on the issue and will come out with our findings. We are blessed with entrepreneurs with the knowledge and ability to manage and create more entrepreneurs. We must engage the right people to do the job. We must not create parallel institutions without any parliamentary backing. Youth unemployment needs the same voice we gave to see GIRL CHILD EDUCATION made fruitful. Youth unemployment must be given the discussion platform it deserves, to find appropriate solutions. We strongly believe YES needs a parliamentary backing and the time is now.
