Professor Joshua Alabi, Vice Chancellor of the University of Professional Studies (UPSA) has cautioned students against indecent dressing on campus saying it usually confuses lectures. Wondering the motive of such indecent dressing, the Professor noted that, most ladies on campus intentionally dress offensively to class and occupy the front seat. According to him, dressing indecent was undesirable and detracts from one�s image and therefore counseled students especially the females to dress decently at all times, since it gives a good impression of a person. He again counseled students to always behave responsibly and make efforts to attain the principles of integrity. Prof. Alabi made these statements when UPSA welcomed new students into the institution to offer Diploma, Undergraduate, professional and Masters Programmes in its 7th Matriculation event held over the weekend. This year, UPSA admitted three thousand two hundred and sixty seven (3,267) applicants out of a total of 5,026 who qualified for admission. Highlighting on Ebola, Prof Alabi hinted of a constructed isolation unit at the university to accommodate persons suspected of having contracted the disease for necessary medical procedures to be carried out. He also made mention of some surgical gloves, dispensary aprons and other Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) donated to the school by government to help handle the Ebola fever in case it rears its ugly head. Expressing appreciation to government, the Vice Chancellor expressed hope that measures put in place would help improve the University�s health delivery system. He concluded by advising the students to limit the amount of time spent on phone and focus on their books, since it was the main reason they were in school.
