NDCs Organizational Structure Is Not Up To Standard - Kofi Adams

Deputy General Secretary of the ruling National Democratic Congress (NDC), Kofi Adams has complained bitterly about the poor organizational structure of his party He said the partys National Organizer has failed to put proper structures in place to revive the grassroot of the NDC. According to Kofi Adams who is also aspiring for the partys National Organizer position, the 2016 election has become critical and crucial for the partys political history as stringent organizational measures will be required to retain power for NDC. Addressing the challenges in the organizational structure of the NDC, Kofi Adams averred on Okay Fms Ade Akye Abia programme that his contest for the National Organizer position has become paramount due to lack of proper communication of party activities to the grassroots. He insisted that the grassroots have little insight of the partys proceedings because meetings at the National level are not immediately transmitted to the grassroots, making the work of the party in general difficult. Party work is not done in secrecy and the media is the best tool to transmit all information discussed at the executive level to the grassroots. If communication is not good, party members will not be encouraged to set up radio and TV stations to champion the course of the partys activities. I am not contesting for the National Organizer position because I feel some people have taken hold of NDC as their personal property but rather I think the organization of the party is not going on well in the party; what we need to do in the party as leaders are not done and that explains why I am contesting for the National Organizer position of NDC, he pinpointed. He however admonished his party faithfuls to rebel against individuals who are trying to take over NDC as their personal property, calling for the partys Constitution to rein supreme over individuals preferences. He further admitted that the court's injunction on the party's Regional elections is disturbing as it has affected the partys calendar, urging all members to adhere to the court order as well as encouraging party members to insist on their rights in the party.
