Amin Anta Should Come Again - Kweku Baako (AUDIO)

The issue of secret tapes and videos pops up once in a while in this country. The recent one 'featured', Minority leader, Osei Kyei Mensa Bonsu, former President John Agyekum Kufuor (Video) and the former MCE for Tamale, Muhammed Amin Anta. Former President Kufuor was captured on a video tape advising delegates on the qualities of a flagbearer. Even though the video was captured seven years ago, an anonymous person posted it on social media at a time the New Patriotic Party (NPP) is preparing to elect a new flagbearer for the 2016 election. Speaking to ex-president Kufuors video, Kweku Baako, Managing Editor of the New Crusading Guide newspaper questioned the motive behind the release of the video especially at a time when the NPP are going to the polls. He told Kwami Sefa Kayi during a panel discussion on Kokrokoo programme that in terms of relevance what are those people who released the video trying to achieve? I have done my own search and I found out that the release of that video came from a particular sourceit is a propaganda value; almost nil because the delegates have decided already. Antas tape On the said tape, Anta said Nana Akufo Addo surprised me with US$5,000, offered me three positions to choose from and that I was following the crowd and would therefore not openly campaign for him. The audio tape started circulating days after Anta declared support for Akufo-Addo against the former Minister of Trade and Industries, whom he supported in previous races. On this issue, Kweku Baako further indicated that: I think he has a difficulty because I cant get the timeline of that tape. It doesnt appear to me that the things being said in the tape are immediately related to the primaries. It doesnt click. He will even be personally challenged to explain himself further. It doesnt help his own credibility that much. The tape is not good enough for him. He has to come again with better and further particularscome back and come and explain those details
