Akufo-Addo Rounds Off Campaign On Thursday

Nana Akufo-Addo will wrap up his campaign for the 2016 flagbearership of the New Patriotic Party on Thursday, 16 October 2014, here in Accra, two days before the National Congress, which takes place in all 275 constituencies across the country. On Thursday afternoon he will address Greater Accra delegates and party supporters in a mini rally to be held in front of Avenue Chemist, Opposite Abrantie Spot, Abeka Lapaz, Accra, a popular location for party events. Also to address the crowd will be Dr Mahamadu Bawumia, Members of Parliament and other notable speakers. The event which begins at noon, climaxing with Nana Akufo-Addo's speech at 3pm, will bring to an end the candidate's nationwide campaign which kicked off on July 29th, 2014, at Akwei House, Accra Central. On 31 August 2014, the Special Electoral College of the New Patriotic Party reduced the number of aspiring presidential candidates from 7 to 5 with an overwhelming 81% endorsement for Nana Akufo-Addo. Two of the short-listed candidates, Joe Ghartey, MP, and Kofi Osei Ameyaw, MP, dropped out, throwing their support behind Nana Akufo-Addo. �...signed�� Eugene Arhin Press Secretary
