The Bauchi State Police Command has arrested a man, Haruna Mohamed alleged to have infected a 12 year old girl with Human Immuno Deficiency Virus (HIV) in Dass Local Government Area of the state. The Police Public Relations Officer of the state, Haruna Mohammed, in a statement said: �The suspect, Sabo Korau, of Unguwan Dawaki, Dass Local Government Area was arrested for having sexual intercourse with a 12-year-old girl. He has been having sex with her since 2012. When the victim began to show symptoms, she was taken to the hospital, where she tested positive to HIV�. The statement added: �Preliminary investigation revealed that the suspect took advantage of the girl, who was a groundnut seller. �He tested positive to HIV and has been on medication since 2004.� The police spokesperson said the case is under investigation and that upon conclusion, the suspect will be charged to court.
