Ebola: Rawlings' Daughter Doubts Ghanas Readiness

Daughter of former President Rawlings, Zenator Rawlings has raised concerns over government's preparedness to handle the deadly Ebola virus in case of an outbreak in the country. So, on what basis are Ghanaians being reassured of their safety in the midst of this rather questionable Ebola pandemic? Let me guess. We have a 'no fly zone' which the virus is adhering to! Just wondering... she wrote on her Facebook. Ebola has so far killed over 4000 people in the West African sub region since it broke in February. The worst hit states are Liberia, Sierra Leone and Guinea. Ghana has secured its entry points and set up three isolation centres to fight the disease in case it breaks out. The United Nations Mission on Ebola Emergency Response (UNMEER) is also establishing a logistics centre in Accra, from where 250 UN personnel will be operating to fight an outbreak.
