Crystal Palace 1-2 Chelsea

Inflated talk of the Chelsea 'Invincibles will be louder than ever this week. It remains a distant prospect, since they will be required to work for their victories. They cannot depend on sides like Palace offering themselves in the role of gallant losers for the rest of the season. At the moment, everything is falling into place for the Premier League leaders. Even when they lost Cesar Azpilicueta to a red card in 40 minutes, Damien Delaney obligingly committed a second bookable offence within two minutes to restore the numerical balance. Chelsea then settled to unchallenged control; good players doing the simple things to emphatic effect.
