Ex Skipper Adjoa Bayor Wants To Play For Black Queens Again

Former Black Queens skipper Adjoa Bayor believes her international career is not done yet insisting she is ever ready to make a return to the Queens fold despite been sidelined by the current manager. Bayor, 35, has not been called up for national team duty since leading the Queens team to the last Africa Womens Championships in 2010. Most of Bayors class were dropped off to make way for youngster in the Black Queens. The team have however since struggled to hit the same heights achieved in the past slumping to another low after failing to go beyond the group stage of the 2014 Africa Womens Championships. Bayor, who was named African Woman Footballer of the Year in 2003 insists she remains active and will welcome a return back to Black Queens if called upon. We were all sacked from the Black Queens with the excuse that we have aged but I still play active football, the Immigration Officer said. I am very active and can still play for the Black Queens and therefore I will welcome an invitation back to the team.
