Hundreds Turn Up For AFAG�s �Aagbe Wͻ� Demo

Pressure group, Alliance for Accountable Governance�s (AFAG) demonstration dubbed �Aagbe Wͻ� [They are killing us] is currently underway in Accra. Hundreds of Ghanaians have joined AFAG in the street protest. The demonstration is to protest against the high level of corruption and economic hardship existing in the country. Some leading members of the opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP) joined hundreds of Ghanaians to demonstrate against the government on Wednesday. Some of the NPP bigwigs who joined the demonstration included, Ursula Owusu, Mike Oquaye Jnr, Naa Torshie, Sammy Awuku, among others. About 150 Police personnel are accompanying the demonstrators to ensure law and order. The Public Relations Officer of the Greater Accra Regional Police Command, ASP Afua Tenge has cautioned demonstrators to conform to the rules and various traffic directions that will be given by the Police. more soon...
