Gov't To Distribute 80 Fire Tenders

According to him, all the fire tenders brought into the country have spare parts for servicing adding that a team would also go round to service existing fire tenders across the country for effective and efficient service delivery. The Minister added that the Northern Regional Police Commander was also tasked to follow up with the DCE of the Mamprugu Manduri district and the MP to assist with the provision of infrastructure to set up the police office in the district. He further told the House that the Ministry of Finance will reject any request to source for loan to put up the structures for the assemblies because there are pending requests at the ministry that have not yet been approved. The Minister also urged MPs and district assemblies to seek help from philanthropists within their jurisdiction and beyond for support to put up infrastructure for police personnel to be sent to the districts. Mr. Woyongo added that some assemblies were responding to the request positively and upon completion, personnel will be sent there.
