Kuntu Blankson Advises NDC & NPP

Corruption is the enemy of development and of good governance. It must be gotten rid off. Both the government and the people at large must come together to achieve this national objective - Kuntu Blankson, Former NDC MP for Mfantseman East Constituency. This is an advice from a former NDC Member of Parliament (MP) for Mfantseman East Constituency, Kuntu Blankson to all political parties especially the ruling government and the oppostion New Patriotic Party [NPP] on corruption. According to the former legislator who seems worried about how corruption has engulfed the state, he opined that individuals must be willing to speak against the practice and questioned relatives in government sectors who showoff, acquire properties illegally and live luxurious lives. In an interview with Peacefmonline.com, Kuntu Blankson stated categorically that, the blame on President John Dramani Mahama as the brain behind Ghanas frustrating corruption now is unfortunate and must be avoided. The President should not be blamed for what is going on because people have been assigned to sectors to manage and so they have to manage it in trust for the president. So if there is something wrong, then they should check those individuals, he said. He however lamented that, The fight for justice against corruption is never easy. It has never been and never will be. It exacts a toll on our self, our families, our friends, and especially our children. In the end, I believe, as in my case, the price we pay is well worth holding on to our dignity. Corruption is like a ball of snow, once it sets rolling it must increase. But we [NDC, NPP and individuals] must all fight against the canker, he told Peacefmonline.com.
