Ovation Publisher Dele Momodu ran for President in 2011 on the platform of the National Conscience Party. He got about 30,000 votes nationwide. He is now opening up on his thoughts about the political race and why he thinks he did not win. According to Dele Momodu, while speaking at an event recently, the major reason he lost the 2011 presidential election was because Nigerians did not take his candidature seriously. Dele Momodu made this remake at the recently held Diamond jubilee symposium in honour of the founder of the Latter Rain Assembly, Pastor Tunde Bakare. He explained, �One of the things I love about Pastor Tunde Bakare is that he did not restrict himself to activism. I was glad in 2011 when he was General Muhammadu Buhari�s running mate. I, on the other hand, wanted to be President. I was serious about my ambition but Nigerians were not serious about it. Some said I lacked experience. Yes, I lack experience in stealing.� He also shared a screenshot of his feature in Punch newspaper and captioned, �WHY WE ARE IN THIS MESS: we always vote for primordial sentiments� Nigerians expect you to steal Nigeria�s money and use it to contest and oppress the poor of Nigeria��
