A former Member of Parliament for Okaikoi South for the opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP), Nana Akomea has been reappointed as Director of Communications. Nana Akomeah who is also a former Minister of Employment and Social Welfare was reappointed on Thursday, at a National Council meeting at the NPP headquarters in Accra. The position has been vacant for some time now since Perry Okudzeto [incumbent Communications Director] was relieved of his post and asked to proceed on compulsory leave under controversial circumstances by the National Chairman and the General Secretary, Paul Afoko and Kwabena Agyepong respectively. Anthony Kaabo has also been appointed as the Deputy Director of Communications. Meanwhile, Nana Obiri Boahen has also been appointed as the Deputy General Secretary while Mustapha Salam is the new Deputy National Youth Organizer. The NPP�s Regional Chairmen and Secretaries were all present at the meeting.
