Omane Boamah: 2015 Budget Will Transform Economy

Minister of Communications, Dr Omane Boamah, has stated that the 2015 budget will be a transformational agenda for Ghana. According to him, though the budget will demand some sacrifices from Ghanaians, it will however, point in the right direction to show that government is ready to change the economy. The Minister of Finance, Seth Terkper would on Wednesday, November 19, 2014, present to Parliament the budget statement and economic policy for the government for 2015. The budget statement is a plan for the near future detailing saving and spending expenditures. It consists of a list of all planned expenses and revenues. Speaking on on Asempa FM�s Ekosii Sen programme Friday, Dr. Boamah noted that industries which hitherto have declined will begin to transform after the budget is read. �Government is committed in changing the economy of the country and so the budget will not only be read to our ears but will be manifested" he stated. The Communications Minister said government will not massage figures but would be candid with Ghanaians on the true state of the economy. �We won�t massage the figures; Ongoing Projects will also be reviewed in the budget for everyone to know the exact happenings as far as our economy is concerned," Dr. Omane Boamah added.
