Herbalists Urged To Add Value To Products

Traditional herbal practitioners have been called upon to produce high standard products by way of adding value to meet international standards to globally compete effectively with orthodox medicinal services. Dr. Stephen Appiagyei Donkor, First Vice President of the Ghana Federation of Traditional Medicine (GHAFTRAM), who made the call, disclosed that there was an increasing demand for herbal treatment worldwide. He continued that the increasing demand for herbal treatment worldwide had made the herbal medicine industry come under scrutiny, a reason why value must be added without compromising standards.
