Gruesome Murder At Tanoboase

A Dagaare man in his 20s called Kwaku Albert has been killed by an unidentified man at Tanoboase, a community in the Techiman North Constituency. Narrating the story to DAILY GUIDE, a native of Tanoboase, Mr. Owusu Sam said the assailant went to a cottage near Tanoboase where Albert resides with his wife and child. He said the assailant attempted to steal pigs and food stuffs belonging to Albert around 3.00 am on Monday. When Albert heard noise, he quickly came out from his room and shouted but the man launched an attack on Albert. Albert�s wife, who was sleeping in the room with their daughter, heard the noise and quickly came out of the room. Reports said she saw the man with a big axe in. She sneaked into the bush and run to Tanoboase with her daughter for assistance. Unfortunately they saw Kwaku in a pool of blood upon their return. According to Mr. Owusu Sam, the people of Tanoboase mounted a search for the murderer in the bush for more than two hours, adding that they caught him and lynched him. The police patrol team from Techiman arrived at the scene and conveyed the two bodies to the Holy Family Hospital morgue in Techiman. The Techiman Municipal Police Commander, ASP Kwame Sempene explained to DAILY GUIDE that investigation conducted by the police indicated that the murderer was mentally challenged because when they got to the scene he had killed the dogs and chickens and also destroyed the crops. He said that amazingly the assailant travelled to the cottage naked.
