Police in the Ashanti Region have announced a GH�5,000 reward for information leading to arrest of persons involved in the shooting of the Manager of the Abrepo Branch of Ecobank. Mr Richard Sallah, was attacked by unknown assailants at dawn Friday in what police suspect was an armed robbery. Mr Sallah's attackers, numbering four, according to Luv FM's Erastus Asare Donkor, broke into the banker's home at dawn, shot at him and made away with a TV set, some cash and a laptop. Mr Sallah was rushed to a nearby hospital after he was shot in the face but hospital authorities pronounced him dead on arrival. Announcing the reward package, Ashanti Regional Police Commander, DCOP Kofi Boakye, said the perpetrators of the crime would be brought to book. "The assurance is that come what may, we will pursue these suspects relentlessly...we are going to arrest them in the shortest possible time." said DCOP Boakye.
