Anyidoho And Asiedu Nketia Will Silence NPP In 2016 NDC Delegates

Some delegates of the National Democratic Congress NDC) say having Koku Anyidoho in the leadership of the party will bolster their chances of retaining power come 2016. The former Communications Director at the Office of the President is among the candidates contesting the Deputy General Secretary slot in the governing partys national delegates congress scheduled for December 20, 2014 in Kumasi in the Ashanti region. The delegates will elect new officers to lead the party for the next four years. Even before then, some delegates have openly declared their preference to have the communications specialist pair with the incumbent General Secretary, Johnson Asiedu Nketia to match the current leaders of the opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP). According to them, Koku Anyidoho's loyalty, commitment to duty and dedication to the goals and aspirations of the NDC over the years are unquestionable, making him the best among the rest racing for the position. The Youth Organiser for Ketu North in the Volta Region, Fred Ahiabu said in an interview that Koku is one of the few persons in the NDC who are loyal and can be trusted for the future of the party. The opposition party's members are hungry for power so we need people like Koku and General Mosquito to kill 2016 for us; our [NDC] party is not for sale, Ahiabu remarked. For his part, the Propaganda Secretary for the party in the Adentan Constituency in Accra, Abubakar Issah believes Koku is a hardworking guy; his loyalty is not questionable and we need him to come and match the newly elected NPP executives who are hungry for power. For his colleague in the Ayawaso North Constituency also in Accra, Gibril Maestro: The reason why I'm for Koku is very clear; he can do the job [and] I know him personally. The grassroots need people like him. 2016 is no a joke! Other candidates keenly racing for the Deputy General Secretary slot apart from Koku Anyidoho are; former Adentan Member of Parliament, Kojo Adu Asare and the incumbent, George Lawson.
