Kanye West will receive the Visionary Award at the 2015 BET Honours.
The Stronger rapper is being given the prize in recognition of being a 'multifaceted trailblazer and pioneer' in the music industry.
The BET website said: 'Kanye West will be honoured for his extraordinary contributions across the arts, including roles as a record producer, rapper, filmmaker and fashion designer.
